Life Care Connections Care Bears take on the Peninsula Pirates
In Early June 2010, the Life Care Connections, Senior in Home Support Services with the help of some of the Peninsula staff took on the Peninsula Pirates in a game of Bean Bag Baseball. The Life Care Connections Care Bears were soundly beaten 48 to 16. I guess they don't need ourhelp to play bean Bag Baseball.
For those of you unfamiliar with this popular sport. Bean Bag Baseball has the same rules as regular baseball, but instead of using a bat and ball to hit a ball, participates throw bean bags into a target that has holes for bases and outs. There is even a hole for a foul and home run. When you get a base hit you sit on the appropriate chair for 1st, 2nd,or 3rd base. A home run sends everyone home. The Care Bears and Peninsula staff took our best shots, but were out played, or maybe out "prayed" by the pirates.
